Smoking Cessation Clinic
Tobacco use causes more than 7 million deaths per year and is a major preventable risk factor for many leading causes of death. Smoking tobacco may lead to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), high blood pressure, heart disease, and cancer.
Our program is led by a pharmacist who has received the National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice and certified training from the Florida State University College of Medicine. The goal of our smoking cessation program is to assist patients who are willing to quit smoking, are not yet ready to quit smoking, and are wanting to achieve and maintain tobacco-free lives.
What does the program include?
Each individual in our program will receive a FREE Toledo Family Pharmacy Folder containing a customized smoking cessation program packet, tobacco use logs, a QuitLine Brochure, SmokeFree coasters, and more! This program is completely FREE of charge.
If you are interested in starting with our program, we include one initial visit to assess your tobacco use history and create a plan together to help you with your quit process. After that, the pharmacist will follow up with you to track your progress and keep you engaged in the program.
Many smoking cessation aids exist, and our pharmacist will help determine the best option for you. Following the initial appointment, the pharmacist will contact your physician for your prescription(s).
How do I get help to quit smoking?
All you need to do to sign up is call our pharmacy. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
